Leírás és Paraméterek
The Friends of Aquincum established the Pro Aquinco Foundation 31 years ago to support the Aquincum Museum’s work in research and education. The support of publishing soon became the primary role of the Foundation. Its activities go well beyond providing financial support; the Foundation is actively involved in procuring funds, securing grants and sponsorships, as well as carrying out administrative tasks related to publishing. In close cooperation with the Museum, the Foundation supported the institution at times as co-financer and at other times as publisher, seeking to find and make use of opportunities that were not available to the Museum.
We can come across the name of the Foundation in every kind of publication by the Aquincum Museum; general interest publications, conference proceedings, Hungarian and English guides, reports on finds, summarising monographs, Corpus volumes and catalogues.
Our mission continues to be the support of the Aquincum Museum’s research and educational activities, enriching the ancient heritage of Budapest and bringing it closer to the public.
